The snow may still be flying outside but it will soon be time to start thinking about your garden. Join Dakota County Master Gardener, Barb Webb as she talks about what you can do now to plan your garden. Learn how to read a seed packet and decide which varieties are best for your garden. We’ll discuss which vegetables need to be started indoors and when versus direct sowing later on. How much room do your plants need? We’ll talk about designing your garden so that your plants have enough space to grow while still maximizing your harvest. Bring your favorite seed packets to class and we’ll review what you need to know to plan for a successful garden season.
Barb Webb lives in Eagan, MN with her husband, son and four-footed fur babies. After decades in IT, Barb left the corporate rat race to get outside and enjoy life. She enjoys photography, sewing in the winter and tending to her jam-packed vegetable beds and perennial gardens in the warmer months. Barb has been gardening since she was a little girl in Montreal Canada. She became a Master Gardener and Master Recycler/Composter for Dakota County in 2014 and loves to spread the word on the merits of composting, growing your own food and seed saving. |
